THE SOLAR GROVE WORKSHOPS

Have you been wondering about new technology... but you enjoy a bit of old fashioned craft?

The Solar Grove Workshops are held by visiting artist Cindi Drennan. During the workshop you will help to create new Lanterns using techniques of patchwork, sewing, sculpture and three dimensional craft. Book in as places are limited.

The lanterns become part of the amazing new installation, The Solar Grove, which is powered by solar panels and incorporated high quality Australian made LED lights, so it is guaranteed to be a lasting feature of the festival for years to come. This is a great way to participate in the festival, will be fun and you will learn a lot of interesting tips about solar power and future lighting technology... so you'll never be "in the dark" about it again!

Craft groups and Sewing groups are very welcome to approach to set their own dates as a group. Please enquire if interested.

5th December - 10 AM - 1 PM & 3 PM - 6 PM
6th December - 3 PM - 6 PM

CARBON NEUTRAL FORUM

Carbon Neutral... what is it? Where do I get it? What is it made of?

Visiting artist Cindi Drennan has been working towards making her arts practise Carbon Neutral, and that has meant learning all sorts of new words, industries and even values for business and home life.

Cindi is inviting anyone who is interested in the future possibilities for environmentally sustainable, pollution free living (or at least as close as we can get) to come along to a special presentation of films, information, amusing and intriguing insights and a bit of friendly discussion.

You'll get to hear about alternative technologies, the emerging environmental economy, commitments and interesting trials by families and Australian businesses, and some useful tips and knowledge that will help you understand just how much is happening in this area, and get closer to your own environmental friendly goals and hopes.
